Make the new \EXTRACT directory the current directory: CD \EXTRACT 2. Start the program. EXTRACT 3. You will be asked to specify some drives and directories. If your configuration includes a CD-ROM reader, you must specify a CD-ROM drive letter. This is the letter you assigned when you first installed the reader; often, the reader is assigned the letter "L". You also will be asked to specify a "work directory." This is any directory on your hard disk (e.g., \WORK), which EXTRACT uses to store temporary files; be sure to create the directory before using it in EXTRACT! When the system asks for the location of auxiliary files, specify the subdirectory where you installed these files, e.g. c:\AUXIL. **************************************************************************** ** For More Information ** The mechanics of installing and using EXTRACT are explained more fully in the documentation, EXTRACT.DOC, which is created by the program EXTRCT13. In addition, step by step tutorials are contained in the EXTUTOR files. (See EXTUREAD.ME.) ****************************************************************************
